Established as the 33rd Sainik School in India and the second in Odisha, The foundation stone was laid by Shri Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha, on 27th February 2015. School Located in Basantpur, about 20 km from Sambalpur city, the school is set in a picturesque landscape near the Hirakud Dam and the Mahanadi River. Spanning 105 acres, the campus provides a serene and conducive environment for holistic education.

भारत का 33वां और ओडिशा का दूसरा सैनिक स्कूल के रूप में स्थापित, सैनिक स्कूल संबलपुर का शिलान्यास ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री नवीन पटनायक जी द्वारा 27 फरवरी 2015 को किया गया था। यह स्कूल संबलपुर शहर से लगभग 20 किलोमीटर दूर बसंतपुर में स्थित है, जो हिराकुंड बांध और महानदी नदी के निकट एक सुरम्य स्थल पर बसा है। 105 एकड़ में फैला यह परिसर समग्र शिक्षा के लिए एक शांत और अनुकूल वातावरण प्रदान करता है।
